Everything you need to know about CODE 95 certification
To obtain the CODE 95 driver qualification card, you first need to meet the basic prerequisites required of applicants. Then, you must complete a course at a registered training center and successfully finish the training program. After completing the course, you will need to apply for the issuance of a Certificate of Basic Qualification or for regular driver training. Following this, you will submit an application for the issuance of the driver’s qualification card. Your application will be processed by the district office in the regional headquarters, and finally, you will receive your certificate and the CODE 95 card.

CODE 95, also known as the driver’s qualification card, is mandatory for professional drivers as specified in Act no. 280/2006 on the basic qualification and regular training of some drivers. The law requires drivers to complete either a basic qualification (long course) or regular periodic training (short course). However, this training is not necessary for members of the rescue services, armed forces, or driving school instructors.
The administrative fee for issuing the CODE 95 card is €70. If you are applying for a certificate for categories C1 or C, the fee is €7, and for categories D1 or D, it is also €7. The examination fee amounts to €70. When attending the exam, you must bring confirmation of completion of the Basic Qualification course, confirmation of completion of the First Aid course, a photocopy of your Driver’s License and ID card, proof of payment for the issuance of the CODE 95 card for €70 under code 798, proof of payment for the issuance of the Long course certificate for €7 under code 797, and proof of payment of the exam fee of €70 under code 799.
